The wait time was a little long, but the food was absolutely worth it, pricing and quality. Noodle and broth were outstanding, the meat that came with the noodle were quality stuff, large shrimp and complete pieces of pork belly. This is an example of Detroit’s revival, a gem of restaurants that opened in the beat up section of the city. Edit: revisited after 5 years. Noodle was amazing as I remembered, incredible store had maintained it food quality, I think this is a staple of Detroit for ramen.

My husband and I have eaten here many times. The food is always very good and when they're not super busy, the food is excellent. I am gluten-free, and they have no problem accommodating me. Be ready to wait if you go at dinner time, very busy and it's a very small restaurant. Also, be courteous of others waiting to eat, and try not to linger at your table after you're done eating.

Yummy! I never had ramen like this before. Fantastic flavor and generous portions. Service was fast and very knowledgeable. The place was very clean. It was a bit loud (acoustics of the building). I ate my leftovers the next morning, and they were still absolutely delicious.

Tonkotsu ramen and the Captain Katsu ramen are straight CRACKED ????????????. Chicken karaage is some of the best I ever had and the Pork Bao HAS to be made from serotonin for real. Best tasting ramen in Detroit. Is the ramen here 'authentic'? Lol absolutely not, but you don't need authentic when you have pork bao and ramen made by the noodle KING Johnny himself ????????

A robust menu that spans Japanese, Thai, and Chinese cuisine. There are aspects of the restaurant that is fusion, and other areas that is modern - much like the ambiance of the place. Upbeat, lively with a nice breeze from the river area. My friends were newer to the the Asian scene and the food did a good job of breaking that ice for them. We had a great time and left them with a memorable first. Of particular note, the Tonkatsu ramen was great. The pouched egg was just right and the pork better was charred just right.

Love coming here when I'm driving on fort street in detroit. This place has been around for about 10 years and they never disappoint. We got the pork dumplings, fried rice & bao buns. Service was decent. Love the ambiance in here. Food came out fast.

The place was nice I like that part of the kitchen is in the open. It has an outdoor area and indoors. I would have said outside area but it was so hot we sat inside. The staff is very friendly and helpful In Recommendation. I had the seafood khao soi. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the crab was sweet and succulent and the curry had the right amount of heat. It was great. The eggplant bao was amazing! It had the pickling and heat that went so well with the bao which was fresh and soft. The captain katsu had the chicken on the side so it stay crispy and added as you eat the pho. Prefect!

Haven't been here in a few years... better than I remembered. Ordered the Eggplant Boa, Captain Katsu, and Seafood Khoa Soi. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I love this place. First time eating inside post COVID. It has 2 main seating areas, the smaller first section and larger area that has outside/inside feel with large open garage door. Waitstaff was very friendly and super quick with our orders.
